David E. Bearint's Obituary
David Edward Bearint, 92, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 7:28 A.M. on Easter Sunday (03-31-2024) in his home.
David was born on March 24, 1932, in Camden, NJ, the son of Ellwood Herburt Bearint and Marie Ann Mayer. He married Patricia J. Fagan on July 22, 1967, in Columbus, OH.
David served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. David was a collegian baseball player as a catcher and liked to play tennis. He was an avid reader and collector of mid-century modern furniture, which his daughter Susan now has an interest in.
He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years – Patricia of Decatur, IL; daughter: Susan Marie Hancock and husband Andrew of Sandpoint, Idaho; son: Timothy Edward Bearint and wife Beverly of Mokena, IL; three grandchildren: John Bearint, Anna Bearint, and Jake Hancock.
David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes at 11:00 A.M. Friday (04-05-2024) with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the service time. The burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
