David Boline's Obituary
David Eric Boline, 75, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 1:38 A.M., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at HCR/ManorCare in Decatur, IL.
David was born August 10, 1943, in Decatur, IL, the son of Glenn Ellis and Alice Loretta (Hale) Boline. He graduated from Decatur MacArthur High School. He served in the Army in Korea. David worked in the foundry of the Mueller Company until his retirement.
David was a member of Central Christian Church. He was an avid train collector and loved to take excursions on steam engines throughout the country with his brother Carl (Dickie). He loved watching videos of historic steam and diesel trains. There was never a western made that he would not watch. He enjoyed being with his nephews and their families and with his sister-in-law ‘Sug’.
David is survived by sister-in-law Louise ‘Sug’ Boline of Decatur, IL; nephews John and wife Stacey of Decatur, Paul and wife Christine of Iowa, Mark and partner Timothy DuBois of Louisiana; great nephews Cris of California, Jacob of Iowa, Ian of Iowa; great nieces Sarah of Decatur, Kaitlyn of Iowa; great-great niece Jared of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Carl (Dickie), Larry and sister Kay.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home and burial in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church.
