David A. Dickey's Obituary
Decatur-David A. Dickey, 50, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Heartland Health Care Center.
Services to celebrate David's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3800 E. Cerro Gordo. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. at the church. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
David was born May 7, 1961, in Decatur, the son of Glenn and Edwina (Duncan) Dickey. He received his BA in Business Administration from Millikin University. He was previously employed as a restaurant manager with Burger King. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, an Eagle Scout, and Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow.
He leaves behind his son, Austin Rayburn of Warrensburg, mother, Edwina Dickey of Decatur, brothers, Duncan Dickey and wife Tamara of Decatur and Dennis Dickey of Collinsville, sister, Jennie Armstrong and husband Lee of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and nine nieces and nephews.
He was reunited in Heaven with father.
