David W. Frazier's Obituary
Cerro Gordo – David W. Frazier, 64, of Cerro Gordo, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 9, 2014 at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan.
David was born October 16, 1950 in Arlington, Virginia to Leland Earl and Ruth Helen (Ezekiel) Frazier. He married Rhonda Mathes on April 16, 1971 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Decatur. He retired from Firestone after 31 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Decatur local Steelworkers.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Frazier of Decatur; two children, Lori (Butch) Hilderbrand of Cerro Gordo and Kevin (Tanya) Frazier of Montgomery, AL; four brothers, Steven (Margie) Frazier of Gardner, Harold (Mary Kay) Frazier of Kansas City, MO, John (Kathy) Frazier of Decatur and Tom (Judy) Frazier of Decatur; two sisters, Patty Kates and Ruth Bolt both of Decatur; two grandchildren, Cody and Drew Hilderbrand; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leland and his grandson, Austin Hilderbrand.
Mass of Christian burial for the life of David Frazier will be 5 p.m. Monday, December 15 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Decatur. Visitation will be from 3pm to 5 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial of cremated remains will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, at Graceland Cemetery where the Macon County Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Memorials may be directed to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
