David Mense's Obituary
David Mense, 64, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his residence.
David was born January 27, 1955, in Decatur, the son of Arthur and Clardine (Hendrian) Mense.
Surviving are his significant other, Dee Rutledge of Clinton; his brother, Doug (Michelle Johnson) Mense of Mt. Zion; his uncle, Jay (Gaile) Hendrian; his nephew, Dylan Mense of Decatur; his great-niece, Adilyn Mense; his special friends, Mark “Bird” Hadley of Decatur and Bryan Finger of Clinton.
David worked at Mitsubishi. After retirement, he worked at Rat’s Hole Place in Decatur for 18 years. He enjoyed motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidson. He enjoyed going on Saturday cruises to get coffee with Bryan. Every year he would take a trip down south to camp with Dee. He also loved to boat and you would always see him outside taking care of his lawn. He was a great man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of David Mense will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2019 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance for Pets.
