David Reeves' Obituary
Decatur ' David Reeves, 56, of Decatur passed away on Monday December 31, 2012 in Heartland Health Care Center of Decatur after a 3 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
David was born on October 24, 1956 in Decatur the son of Charles and Lois (Moore) Reeves. He graduated from MacArthur High School in 1974 and from Western Illinois University in 1979. He was a retired Deputy for the Macon County Sherriff Department where was a D.A.R.E. officer and school liaison and was currently teaching at Heartland Technical Academy. He was an Eagle Scout, member of the noon Lions Club, Crime Stoppers, and Grace United Methodist Church where was active in the T.V. Ministry. He married Karen Ehlers on March 7, 1992 in Cullom.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; daughters, Emily Reeves (14) and Hannah Reeves (12) both of Decatur; brother, Dale Reeves (Lisa) of Roscoe; sister, Donna Wagner of Kearns, UT; and mother-in-law, Judy Ehlers of Cullom.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Celebration of life memorial service will be 10 AM Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Grace United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to his children's Education Fund.
