Karen, Emily, and Hannah: You are most certainly in my thoughts and prayers. Dave was such a good friend to many and he will be missed. As you know, Dave and I met through Wesley Foundation at Western Illinois University. We went on many mission trips together while in college and I share many fond memories of those days. It was so good to see you and he in Washington when you chaperoned a youth group several years ago. I'm so glad I knew Dave. I am sorrowed by his loss. Jodie Paustian

I always enjoyed working with Dave when he was a DARE officer. He was such a gentleman and an asset not only to the Sheriff's Dept. but also the county. I remeber dave from the 48 inn , and we had some good times. he was one guy that could get along with anyone. i also remeber when he would bring his k9 into long john silvers when he was on the sherriffs department. my prayers and thoughts are with him and his family. robbie walker

Just wanted to send a note to all of you. My wife and I met Dave when he was in the room next to mine at the dorm during our days at Western ill University. He was influential in inviting me to the college youth group thru a local church, and was in that group for 4 years! Thanks for all you did for us in so many ways…you will be misses.
