This is the saddest news I have stumbled across in a very long time. My deepest sympathy to all the family. I knew David when he went to Hyde School, nice guy. So sad. God Bless you all.
I was surprised to learn about David's passing. May you find peace and love in the memories of David that you cherish. Our deepest condolences,Gwen and Natalie Baumann(Theatre 7)
My sincere sympathy and condolences to the Velek family at this time. It is difficult to lose a family member, especially one who is so young. I have known the Velek family for a while, going back to the time when they were new to Decatur and new members at First Lutheran Church. I regret that I will be at work at the time of the memorial service today, so posting a message in the online guestbook is my only choice for expressing my thoughts to the family. So, Millie, Dr. Joe, and family, my sincere sympathy and prayers are with you today. May you feel the love of Jesus in the days ahead. God grant you His peace. Mary M Dacar First Lutheran Church member and longtime family acquaintance.
We are sorry we did not get to meet David in this life, but are confident we will see him in heaven. A chaplain once asked me what I though heaven was and after thinking for a minute, I concluded heaven is a place to continue to learn to love, until we reach a perfection of love. David is there, learning and waiting for us.
We are very sorry for your loss. May God ease your pain and help you heal your sorrow. May peace replace heartache, and may the beautiful memories give you strength during this difficult time.Josh and Lupita DaviesDallas TX
