My sincere condolences to Pat, Susan, Mike and family for your loss. I will miss Dean. We always played golf in the Rusk group for over twenty years, Scovill and Faries. What a great guy and gentleman he was. Rest in peace my friend.
Right out of college on my first job I started as a farm manager at 1st National. My first meeting with Dean. He made working there fun and became my friend. Between Dean , Ritchie Barnett, and Dale Larrick made me look forward to going to work.
2 things I remember was Dean telling me " You don't juggle figures, you make reconciling adjustments" and his version of "roughing it" was having to go down a floor to the ice machine ! Reliving every stroke of his weekend golf games was my Monday, but payback was his support of the Chicago cubs who at that time had not won the Series since they invented RADIO. But that changed. It was easy to be his friend!
