Debbie Kay Dunn, 62, of Decatur, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital, in Decatur. Debbie was born September 24, 1957, in Decatur, to Ron and Eula Marie (Collins) Stutes. She married Michael J. Read Obituary
I was truly saddened to hear about Debbie's passing. I only knew her while at Good Samaritan Hospital but found out early in my career that if I ever needed my OB questions answered I can without hesitation ask Debbie. She was an excellent L&D nurse and a great resource person to all the novice RN's. She was a great mentor and a positive influence on all those who had the opportunity to work with her. Debbie will be greatly missed.

I have so many memories of Debbie from Good Sam enduring the long hours of the night shift. She was always making me laugh. Although we both left Good Sam, Debbie was great at keeping in touch. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Debbie was a fantastic nurse and an even better friend. She will be missed and really left her mark on this Earth.

I remember several long car rides to Illinois to visit Debbie and her family,in addition to visiting the whole extended family. Debbie was always a joy to be around. She always had a great sense of humor and was always smiling. We will miss her very much, our heart goes out to all of her family and friends grieving right now.
