Deborah L Johnson's Obituary
Deborah Louise Johnson, 69, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Deborah was born July 3, 1948, in St. Louis, MO, to William and Marie (Oliver) Glover. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and Church of the Living God Temple #3. Deborah was a Licensed Practical Nurse for the State of Illinois for 38 years, served as Union President and active member for AFSCME for many years. Her greatest love was family and the love for her grandchildren. They loved spending time in which they lovingly called “Camp Grandma”. She made all of them feel special along with her nieces and nephews. She also loved politics, shopping, debating any and every topic and sharing here medical knowledge with friends. She was greatly joyed in spending her last month’s living in her mother’s home.
She is survived by her two sons, Brian (Yvonne) Glover of Decatur, IL and Larry Johnson of Decatur, IL; two daughters, Carmella Johnson of Aurora, CO and Kendra Johnson of Daytona, FL; her mother, Marie Oliver of Decatur, IL; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one brother, Robert Henderson; three sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Russell of Florissant, MO, Lois (Tyrone) Oldham of Decatur, IL and Teah Henderson of Decatur, IL; special aunt, Martha Louise Hood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father; her grandparents; and one sister, LaVerne Gude.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Deborah Johnson will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Church of the Living God Temple #3. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the church before the service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.
