Debra Kay Thomas, 66, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away April 1, 2024, in her home. Debra was born in Decatur on May 11, 1957, the daughter of Phillip Roberts and Judith Barnes. She married Van Thomas on March 6, 1982, in Decatur Read Obituary
I will always treasure the fact that Debbie was the person that trained me on the teller line at Citizens Bank. She was so patient with me, and kept telling me that I would be okay and to quit shaking, lol. In recent years, it was wonderful to see her again at the Kroger in South Shores. She was never too busy that she couldn't stop and have a little chat with me. My condolences to you all, and may The Holy Spirit grant you comfort and peace.
Debra was a beautiful and gracious woman that loved her kids and grandchildren. I am so thankful I got the honor to know her.
Debbie was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed. I will truly miss her contagious laugh and infectious personality. Thanks Debbie for treating me always like family. Rest Easy dear friend❤️
