There will never be another son-in-law in this world like our sweet Delmar. He is irreplaceable. I have know no one that has made the impact one person has to this world. The courage and faith he has shown throughout his battle was amazing. I canâ?? hardly believe that WE were All blessed to have him in our family. I thank God for you Delmar, for the husband, father, son, brother and friend you were. You will forever be in our hearts.Thank you for the memories! I love you.Linda
Sorry for you loss of a great man who loved everyone. I worked with Delmar in DeWitt county Habitat as my vice president when I was president. He then took over as president and did a great job. I will miss him even though I didn't see him all that much lately. Rest in peace.
The two above should read, "Gene & Hermie".

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Delmar was always a very cheerful and outgoing individual. He will be missed very much.
I am honored and privileged to have spent time on this earth with my precious friend, Delmar. I am blessed with the certain hope of seeing him again in Heaven. Until then, we have so many wonderful memories, filled with laughter and sprinkled with some tears because that's what happens when you do life together. My last conversation with Delmar went like this –D: I love you.Me: I love you, too.D: Do something for me.Me: Anything.D: Take care of her.Me: Always.I, again, am honored and privileged to be given the trust to care for the person he loved most in this world, his beautiful and amazing wife, Amy. And at the moment we had this conversation, a million memories flooded my head of the times we've spent together. I share a few photos here but can't come close to the amount of love, laughter, tears, prayer, food, fun, and friendship we have shared. Delmar was a blessing to everyone he met, whether he knew them for a lifetime or a moment in time. Big hugs, big kisses, big faith, big heart – wrapped up in a wonderful, funny, Jesus-loving man.Delmar, you have and will continue to do all things through Christ who has given you strength. I can't wait to be reunited with you in Heaven!
