Denis A. Grinestaff's Obituary
Decatur – Denis A. Grinestaff, 68, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Denis was born on November 14, 1957, in Decatur, IL, the son of Maynard “Tuck” Grinestaff and Virginia Moffett. He worked at Caterpillar for several years and liked to buy and repair, lawn mowers, and slot machines.
Denis was preceded in death by his parents and sister Peggy Lowe.
Surviving is his daughter Rachel Lawson of Maroa; grandchildren: Chandler and Camryn; brothers: Dale Grinestaff and Darcy (Kim) Grinestaff; stepfather Harry Morse; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In honor of Denis’ wishes, cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. Private family services will be held at a later date.
