Decatur-Dennis M. Salmons, 60, of Latham, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2020 with his loving family by his side.
Dennis was born October 8, 1959 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Russ Salmons & Juanita Ward, the youngest of 7 children. Dennis was a loving and caring husband of 35 years to Jaci Salmons, married on July 4, 1987. The family, along with many friends have lost a wonderful human being. Dennis valued spending as much free time as possible with his family enjoying sports, cooking and traveling. He was a life-long Chicago Sports fan, following the Cubs, Bulls and Bears every season. He lived to make others happy, often sharing his sense of humor and there for anyone that needed assistance. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Dennis is predeceased by his parents Russ Salmons & Juanita Ward and brother Robert.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jaci Salmons; his son Bradley Salmons (Jessica Salmons); his son Michael Carter (Christy Carter); his daughter Brandi Salmons; his son Mitchel Salmons (Tiffany Salmons); his son Dejay Salmons (Ashley Salmons); his 12 grandchildren.;his siblings; Thomas Salmons, Ed Bennington (Billie Ann), Dwane Salmons (Barbara), Marie Morris (Donald),

Service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur, IL with Reverend Don Morris officiating. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, followed by Service 4-5pm (immediate family only).
