Diane Susan Burrows' Obituary
Diane Susan Burrows, 70, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 3:19 P.M. on Friday (06-19-2026) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Diane was born on November 24, 1955, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Virgil Alfred Angell and Rosetta Mae (Hunt) Angell. She married James Burrows in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death.
Diane was a nurse for several years. She was an avid reader and a crafter. Diane was a devoted Christian and was deeply spiritual. She was also very charitable and a loyal friend. Diane was a cancer survivor. She loved watching British Comedies on the BBC, with one of her favorites being “Are you being served?” Diane would also frequently watch “Murder She Wrote” and “The Golden Girls”.
She is survived by her children: Alex David Sloan and wife Victoria of Decatur, IL; Zackary Jesse Roy Angell of Clinton, IL; and Crystal Lynn Stearns and (Michael McGee) of Pacolet, SC; grandchildren: Victoria Sloan, Morgan Sloan, Travis Sloan, Brianna Sloan, Gavin Angell, Mickee McGee, Aria McGee, Ryan Michael West, Cassandra Dever, Noah Matthew Angell, Madison Mae (Angell) Winters, Hannah Ray Angell, Zack Angell, Jr., Zoey Lynn Angell, Lillian Marie Angell; brother: Marc Leroy Angell and wife Kara and his children Eric, Monica, Samantha and Cassandra all of Hallsville, IL.; also extended nieces, nephews, cousins and family.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother – Lawrence Alfred Angell and grandson Richard Angell.
