Dolores Jane Gibson, 84, of Decatur passed away on Saturday March 2, 2013 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
A visitation to celebrate Dolores’ life will be from 5-7 pm Friday, March 8, 2013. Burial will be at Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, CA.
Dolores was born August 3, 1928 in Oglesby, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Violet Doede. In her spare time she loved to knit, make dolls and napkins, and collect travel spoons whenever she traveled. She married her husband Gerald Gibson. He preceded her in death.
Dolores leaves behind her sons, Greg (Leanna) Goodbred of Decatur; Larry (Doris) Goodbred of Decatur; Dale Goodbred of Decatur; sister, Sharon Doede of AZ; grandchildren, Robert, Michelle Amanda, and Krystal of Decatur; Steve and Kim of Tonica; Mike of Moline; Andrew of Ottawa; step-grandchildren, Heather of CA: Justin of Decatur; ten great-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and step-grandchild, Kayla McIntosh.
