Donald L. Cunningham's Obituary
Decatur-Donald L. Cunningham, 87 of Decatur, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in his residence with his family by his side.
Services to celebrate Donald’s life will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Ruppert officiating.
Visitation will be held 6 – 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Donald’s family would like to request casual attire. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery at Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family. Donald was born on May 14, 1922 in Sullivan, IL the son of Francis and Velva (Miller) Cunningham. He retired from Wagner Casting in 1984 after 34 years of service.
Left to cherish his memories are his son William Cunningham of Decatur, his daughter Shirley and husband Dale Winans of Decatur, his first wife and very close companion Wilma Moomey of Decatur, his step-children Paula and husband Virgil Auten, Harland and wife Linda Gallinelli all of Tennessee, his sisters Edna Marshall of Decatur, and Erma Jeffers of Sullivan, IL, three grandchildren Amy Foster of Decatur, Chuck Anderson, Jr. of Las Vagas, and Justa Cunningham of Tennessee, one step granddaughter Patty Auten of Tennessee, four great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, his wife Pat, his sons Donald and Kenneth, three brothers, two sisters and one great grandson.
