Donald Dale "Don" Morgan's Obituary
LOVINGTON- Donald Dale “Don” Morgan, 76 of Lovington, passed away at 9:20 pm Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in the comfort of his home with his wife at his side.
Services to celebrate Don’s life will be held at 11 am Monday, January 27th, 2025, at the Lovington First Church of God. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until the service time. Interment with Military Rites by the Lovington American Legion will be in Keller Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lovington First Church of God or to the donor’s choice. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Don was born on September 3, 1948, in Decatur, a son of Edgar and Ruby Pearl (Davis) Morgan. Don proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was the art teacher at Lovington High School for many years and then went on to become the Principal of the Kansas School district. Don was always busy, after retirement he worked at Farm and Fleet in Decatur and Ace in Sullivan for many years. Don enjoyed building model cars and keeping busy. Don was a member of the Lovington First Church of God and the Lovington American Legion. Don married Beverly Murphy on October 10, 1970, in Lovington.
Surviving are Don’s wife- Bev of Lovington, children- Barry Morgan and wife Amber of Lovington, Kandi and her husband Ryan Cobb of Sullivan and Lance Morgan of Lovington, and his grandson- Keeley Eikenberry of Lovington and his special buddy- Stormy.
He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, brothers- Edgar J. “Junior” Morgan and Carroll Dean Morgan and his beloved grandson Michael Eikenberry.
