Donald Wolfe's Obituary
Donald Wolfe, 98, of Forsyth, went to his eternal rest Thursday, October 13, 2016 in his home, surrounded by his family.
Donald was born on June 17, 1918, in Panola, IL the son of J. Glenn and Mary Ellen (Hubble) Wolfe. He served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Corps during 1942-1945. He began working for Caterpillar and later retired in 1980 as a tool engineer. After retiring from CAT, Donald, a farmer at heart, enjoyed 20 years of seasonal farm work with friends. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He married Rose Mary Bennett on July 29, 1945 in El Paso, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Mary Wolfe of Forsyth; son, Jerry (Linda) Wolfe of Decatur; daughter, Carol (Bob) Schafer of Loudon, TN; brother, Robert (Lorena) Wolfe of Roanoke, IL; grandchildren, Michael, Theresa, William, Nicole, Scott, Cory, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Tate, brothers, Howard Wolfe and Frederick Wolfe.

Funeral service to celebrate Donald’s life will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, in Grace United Methodist Church, 901 N Main St, Decatur, IL. A visitation will be one hour prior to services. Visitation will also be 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016, in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church.
