When I think of Grandma I think of her full body belly-laugh/chuckle/smile combo, usually after one of us grandkids did something mischievously funny, or after grandpa cracked a joke.
I think of warm towels after pool sessions with popsicles, crust free sandwiches, and aldi chips.
I think of Christmas’ in the front foyer, hand written cards, and homemade pies.
I remember one Father’s Day I snuck into a drawer with pepper spray and found out what it does the hard way, causing everyone in the house to start choking and gasping for air. Grandma started yelling, “IT’S THE ANTHRAX!!!” She was a saint, the best grandma anyone could ask for. She was always there. She once took me to Mattoon and let me go tandem power paragliding with Uncle Buster, w/o consent from mom and dad. She instilled important life lessons on me, such as wearing socks in the house and keeping my feet off the davenport. I started her career as a Great Grandma, and great was an understatement. Love you always.
