Dora Dean Miner's Obituary
Dora Dean (West) Miner (Dody), 90, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away February 18, 2024, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 22, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur, Illinois, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service.
Dora was born on November 25, 1933, in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughter of Ned Bolyard and Cleda Guffey. She married Coy Martin West in February, 1973, in Decatur, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1997.
Dora is survived by her children: Tim (Jody) Black of Argenta, Illinois, Jerry (Karen) Black of Decatur, Illinois, and Kathy (Craig) Hanks of Decatur, Illinois. Dora also leaves eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
