Doris Jane Logan's Obituary
Decatur – Doris Jane Logan, 85, of Decatur passed away January 12, 2024, at Imboden Creek Nursing Home. She was born on September 29, 1938, in Decatur to Henry Vincent Duncan and Edna (Coay) Duncan. She attended Decatur High and Brown’s Business College. She married the love of her life, Derald Logan, on 10-26-1976.
She was known for her beauty and her kindness to all. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A great lover of animals, she had many pets over the years. She raised dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, goats, and even a baby raccoon.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Dianna (Phillip) Pugsley, and daughter-in-law, Marianne Trimmer, all of Decatur. Stepchildren, Paul Logan, and Vicki (Kerwin) Grider. Grandchildren, Sean (Heather) Trimmer of Cave Springs, AR, Heather Monson, Kelly (Michael) Oliver, Bradley Clark, all of Decatur, Jaclyn Pugsley of Taylorville. Step- grandchildren, Alex (Krystal) Grider, Ben (Raissa) Grider, MacKenzie (Seth) Nabor, Shelby (Cory) Hale, Dillon (Jenny) Logan. 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Daniel Trimmer.
Visitation: Saturday, January 20, 2024, 10:00am until the service time of 12:00pm at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown. Memorials can be given to Decatur & Macon Co. Animal Shelter, the Humane Society or GT Church.
