Dorothy A Bilyeu's Obituary
Dorothy Alice Bilyeu, 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away August 28, 2020 at her residence.
Dorothy was born October 31, 1932 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Albert and Pearl (Cockrell) Hackney. She married Robert Bilyeu Sr on June 24, 1951 in Decatur, IL.
Dorothy was a high school graduate of Argenta-Oreana High School. She served as a line supervisor for General Electric. Following her employment with GE she became a co-owner of Country Market.
Dorothy was a member of First General Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Bob Bilyeu Jr, (Brenda) of Decatur, IL, Frank Bilyeu (Lynn) of Blue Mound, IL, David Bilyeu (Kathy) of Beaufort, SC, Terry Greenwell of Decatur, IL; sister, Flora May Andes of Decatur, IL; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind a wonderful church family and awesome neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Sr; son, Thomas; sister, Ruth, half sister, Mildred and granddaughter, Krysti.
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday, September 4, 2020 at First General Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 PM, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Adams – Gordon Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.
Memorials: First General Baptist Church or Decatur Macon County Humane Society.
