Dorothy Eileen Gash's Obituary
Dorothy Eileen Gash, 96, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born June 19, 1921, in Clinton, IL, to Samuel P. and Pearl (Kinney) Patterson. She married Warner J. Gash on September 5, 1936, in Clinton, IL. He passed away December 7, 1999. Dorothy was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She loved to cook, draw, but most of all, spending time with her family. She was grandmother to many Rotary Youth Exchange Students for many years.
She is survived by her three children, Evelyn (Darrell) Crawley of Navarre, FL, Sharon (Thomas) Redington of Clinton, IL and Forrest (Kathy) Gash of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Barbara (Jeff) Cherryholmes, Rodney Crawley, Seth (Thearsa Lynch) Redington, Jess Gash an Cole (Jenny) Elmer; 13 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Danielle Gash; three great-grandchildren, Layla and Dayne Gash and Jace Crawley; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dorothy Gash will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at First Church of the Nazarene in Clinton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church before the service. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Clinton. Memorials may be directed to First Church of the Nazarene 1220 Kleemann Dr, Clinton, IL 61727.
