Dorothy Pearl Grubb's Obituary
Sherman-Dorothy Pearl Grubb, 68, of Sherman, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in St. John’s Hospital with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born June 5, 1945 in Auburn, Illinois, the daughter of Everett Gibson and Mary Hamilton. Dorothy enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family and friends. She was an inspiration to many. She married Donald “Duck” Grubb June 6, 1974.
Dorothy leaves behind her husband Donald, children Donald Grubb Jr. (wife Lois), Cindy Peterman, Brad Hubbard (wife Wendy), and Donna Cooper, grandchildren Jacquelin (husband Joey), Eric (wife Britta), Brittany (husband Jordan), Aaron, Matthew, Haley, Travis, MJ, Emma, and Ben, brothers Marion (Jack) Logsdon and Fred Gibson, and sisters Audrey Bess, Elsie Jones, and Nora Pangelinan.
Dorothy was reunited in Heaven with her parents, brothers Albert Gibson, Eugene Gibson, Francis Gibson, and Gilbert Lee Gibson, and sisters Audrey Gibson and Dorothy Gibson.
Services to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be 12 noon Monday, January 20, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 500 S. Sherman Blvd. in Sherman. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield. Memorials may be directed to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street, N.W., Suite 410 Washington, DC 20036.
