Dorothy May Lawger's Obituary
Decatur-Dorothy May Lawger, 89, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Manor Court in Clinton.
She was born May 22, 1925 in Decatur, the daughter of Frank and Ella (Clements) Yunker. She was previously employed with J.C. Penney retiring with over thirty years of service. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church. She married John Gilson and he preceded her in death. She then married Wayne Lawger and he preceded her in death. Dorothy was a fighter. She battled and survived cancer five times and the loss of her only daughter and son-in-law. She cherished and helped raise Trevor her only grandson and loved spending time with him.
She leaves behind her grandson Trevor Morrison and wife Hayley, brother Frank Yunker Jr., sister Agnes Lake, and nieces Kathryn Bernard and husband Gerard and Patricia Morris and husband Douglas.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husbands, daughter Lori Morrison, and son-in-law Rodney Len Morrison.

Services to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
