Dorothy Evelyn Weaver's Obituary
Dorothy Evelyn Weaver, 82, of Decatur, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital with family by her side.
Dorothy was born June 21, 1937, in Peoria, the daughter of Homer and Geraldine (Ruthraff) Randol. She married Jerry Weaver on June 17, 1956.
Dorothy was a telephone operator and supervisor with the telephone company and retired after 40 years of service.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; two sons, Gerald (Terry) Weaver of Decatur and Randol Weaver of Foley, Alabama; her grandchildren, Sara (Mike) Miller, Kelly (Kelly) O’Bryan, and Holly (Justin) Roach; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Donna (John) Kendall of Mt. Zion. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe and Jim Randol; two sisters, Sandra Hurtley and Mary Ellen Randol.
Dorothy was a member of Hillside Bethel Tabernacle Church in Decatur for many years. She was very faithful. She enjoyed gambling, scratching off lottery tickets, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dorothy Weaver will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
