Douglas Edward Doss' Obituary
Shelbyville – Douglas Edward “Doug” Doss, 75, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, in Shelbyville Manor.
Douglas was born August 19, 1948, in Lovington, IL, the son of Barry Cornelius “B.C.” and Mary (Martin) Doss. A member of Cornerstone Community Church in Shelbyville, Doug worked as a cabinet maker at Schrock Cabinets.
Doug is survived by his sisters: Lucy (Chris) Nay and Millie Barnhill of Mattoon, and brother Joe (Jean) Doss of Decatur, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
In honor of Doug’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn crematory. Private family burial will take place at a later date in LaPlace Cemetery, LaPlace, IL.
