Drew Watson's Obituary
Drew Watson 74 of Decatur passed away on May 28,2024 at Lincolnshire memory care. He was born November 20, 1949, to Gerald and Floella Watson.
Drew was quite a jokester. As a young boy he would tease his sisters relentlessly. He was quite inventive he liked to understand how things work. He spent many hours in the library studying things before the invention of the internet. When the children were little, he truly enjoyed reading to them. He always had a witty comeback. He had a lot of hobbies over the years including fish and woodworking. His obsession with his Pontiac’s is still talked about to this day. He loved hanging out and reading to the grandkids. He liked technology and science fiction. He always had games available and loved to play them. Nothing gave more joy than sweets and could find them even when hidden from him. In the past few years, the snack drawer called his name daily. His family was truly his life.
Drew is survived by his wife Christine; sons, Jeremy (Kenzia) Watson and Paul (Becky) Watson; daughters Michelle (Shawn) Knotts and Laura (Aaron) Jostes; sisters Lisa(John) Pinney and Amy Watson -Reese; grandchildren, Jonah, Kaylee, Hannah, Abby, Jack, Avery, Isaac, Ella, Kara and Lauren and good friends, Charlie(Betty) Hunsicker as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held for Drew at the GT Church from 10-12pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, with a service to follow at 12pm. A burial rite will be performed after the service at Graceland Cemetery.
