Duane Rhodes' Obituary
Decatur- Duane Rhodes, 91, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday June 26, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Duane was born on October 18, 1920 in Altamont, IL, the son of Thurmond and Hazel (Frazier) Rhodes. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He married Kathryn Ginder on December 18, 1952.
Surviving is his wife, Kathryn, of over 59 years; granddaughter, Sherry (Mark) Miller of Decatur; and great grandson, Trevor Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Bill Kazmierski; and great granddaughter, Marie Carnahan.
Graveside service will be 10 am Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Graceland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard and conclude with 'the Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to the Macon County Animal Control Center.
