Eashmel Wells' Obituary
Decatur – Eashmel Wells, 72, of Decatur, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Eashmel was born May 4, 1948 in Shelby, MS, the son of Andrew Wells and Estella Hunt. He worked as a supervisor at the Decatur Club and married Jewel Bell on September 20, 1965, in Cleveland, MS.
Surviving is his wife, Jewel Wells; his children: Terry Wells, Anthony Sutton and Linda Wells; grandchildren: Brandon Wells, Arielle Wells, Vincent Carson, Terry Wells II, Nyeisha Caldwell, Ricky Caldwell, Braelyn Taylor, Anthony Sutton, Alyrica Sutton, Aeliyan Sutton, Ania Sutton, Atlanta Sutton, Amari Sutton and Tiera Caldwell; 21 great grandchildren; brothers: Andrew Wells and Willie Wells; sisters: Estella Collier, Lou Newton, Josephine Henderson and Martha Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eashmel was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Wells; brothers: Henry Wells, James Wells and Roosevelt Hunt; and sister Edna Wells.
A visitation will be held from 11 am until 12 pm, Monday September 14, 2020, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held immediately following in Graceland Cemetery. CDC guidelines will be followed, face masks are required.
