Eddie Mae Leonard's Obituary
Decatur-Eddie Mae Leonard, 83, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Eddie was born June 27, 1933 in Portageville, Missouri, the daughter of Eddie and Viola (Bryant) Leonard. She was previously employed with Canteen Vending Services retiring with over twenty-one years of service. She was an avid Boyd Bear collector and enjoyed fishing.
Eddie leaves behind to cherish fond memories her children Linda (Eddie) Evans of Decatur, Terry Leonard of Decatur, Cheryl (Clark) Warner of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Dennis Leonard of Decatur, Charles (Mattie) Leonard of Decatur, and Troy Leonard of Decatur, sisters Elizabeth (Herbert) Arnold, Deborah Watson, Odessa (Edward) Ballard, and Jerlean Cherry, and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James and Jessie Adams and Leroy and Bernard Leonard, sister Bernadine Barbee, daughter Vickie Leonard, and grandchildren Marlon Lawson, Latanya Leonard, and Starshawn Leonard.
Homegoing services to celebrate Eddie’s life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ, 125 South Shores Decatur. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.
