Edna Mae Bagenski's Obituary
Edna Mae Bagenski, 91, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born May 15, 1924, in Cazenovia, IL to Clarence and Edna (Hilton) Coons. She married Dale Paul Bagenski on October 20, 1946 in Decatur, IL. She was a registered nurse for Dr. Robert Miller for many years. She also taught preschool at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dale; her two children, Eric (Vickie) Bagenski of Baraboo, WI and Paula (Morris) Gebbink of Parker, CO; four grandchildren, Richard, Kevin, Lisa and Jay; and one brother, Clarence (Judy) Coons of Taos, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Mary Colvin, Jackie Eft and Donna Schaefer.
Services to celebrate the life of Edna Bagenski will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
