Edna Stogner's Obituary
Edna Stogner, 47, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Edna was born in Decatur, on January 15, 1977, to John and Deborah (Debbie) Burcham during a record cold snap. As the older of two children, she was quick to share her love of music, movies, and reading with her younger sister. Edna loved to write, having penned several unpublished stories, poems, and songs. Edna earned an Associates of Business Degree in 2001. She spent most of her career in the service industry tending bar or serving, which led to her pursuing a second degree in the culinary arts. She worked for many years at Steak ‘N Shake Mt. Zion, The Hangar, and eventually finished her career at The Wagon. In 2003, Edna achieved one of her greatest wishes, she became a mother to her beautiful daughter, Allie. She adored being a mother and would regale anyone she met with stories depicting how proud she was of her child.
Edna is survived by her husband, Josh; father, John; daughter, Allie; sister, Bonnie (Greg); nephew, Ethan; uncle, Larry (Leota); aunt, Jane; uncle, Earl (Joyce); aunt, Twilla, as well as several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, four grandparents, two aunts, three uncles, and two cousins.
