Edward F. Boyd's Obituary
Edward F. “Rocky” Boyd Jr., 83, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in his home.
Rocky was born July 28, 1934 in Anchor, Illinois the son of Edward and Dorothy Boyd. He was self-employed as an excavating operator and painter for many years. Rocky was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather who never knew a stranger. Rocky married Patricia Ann Wheeler on May 11, 1956.
Surviving is his wife Patricia, daughters Debbie (Terry) Russell and Dixie Boyd, son Mike (Diane) Boyd, twenty-two grandchildren including Tony whom he raised, twenty-six great-grandchildren, great-great-grandson and best little buddy Lincoln, two brothers, and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and son Bobby.
The family will host a celebration of life open house for family and friends at 3:00 PM March 2, 2018 at the Salvation Army, 611 W. Washington St. Bloomington. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family in care of Patricia Boyd.
