Edward Ernest Ethington, 52, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Decatur, IL
Service to celebrate Ed’s life will be 10 am Friday in Decatur First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Committal service will be at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory following the church service with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. The family request that you dress as Ed would want you to dress and if you would like to ride your motorcycle in the procession please do so. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Ed was born on August 24, 1961 in Macomb, IL the son of Edward Ethington and Sauandra Sue Miller. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was working for ADM. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing his guitar, going to the gun range, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his son, Devin Ethington of Decatur; daughters, Brooke Ethington of Weldon; Brianna Ethington of Decatur; brother, John Ethington of Decatur; mother Sauandra Sue Miller of Decatur; father, Edward Ethington (Chris) of Florida; sister, Mary Troxell (Randy) of Niantic; grandson, Brantley Wright of Weldon; step-sister, Kat Mac Calla (Howard); and step-brothers, Patrick Slevin and Brian Slevin.
