Edward Eugene Foley's Obituary
Decatur – Edward Eugene Foley, 80, of Decatur, was called to be with the Lord at 12:15 am Sunday, November 1, 2009 at his residence.
Memorial services to celebrate Edward’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded with help of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Edward was born August 30, 1929 in Clinton, IL, the son of Edward Joseph and Bernice Lucile (Gowdy) Foley. He married Evelyn May Craw on August 29, 1953. She preceded him in death on January 27, 1998. He married Mary Jargon on February 14, 2002.
Edward proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict. He retired from Teamsters after years of dedicated service. He also was an avid Nascar fan of the no. 3.
He leaves behind his wife: Mary, three children: Marti (Foley) Smith (husband Ralph) of Decatur, Gary Foley (wife Becky) of Decatur, and Sandra (Foley) Wilkey (husband Jeff) of North Carolina, Carl and Terry Buetzow of Peoria, AZ, Cindy and Scott Keefer of Klamath Falls, OR, Kathy and George Connolly of Glendale, AZ, Gary Lewis of Decatur, Larry Lewis of Decatur, and Jerry Lewis of Avondale, AZ, one brother: Jack Foley of Normal, IL, eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
