Edward James Mocabee's Obituary
Lovington-Edward James Mocabee, 63, of Las Vegas formerly of Lovington, passed away December 4, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ed was born December 21, 1949, the son of Carl and Mary Margaret (Bresnan) Mocabee. He graduated from Lovington High School and attended the University of Illinois and Southern Illinois University where he studied photography. He had an outstanding eye and his photographs were beautiful and haunting. He was an airplane mechanic for URS in Las Vegas and a member of the Teamsters Union 631. He was a good friend and very supportive brother, providing moral support and good advice to those who asked. His sense of humor, love of the outdoors, and quirkiness endeared him to all who knew him. His phone calls and brotherly advice will be sorely missed by his sister.
Ed leaves behind his sister Mary Ellen (Lynn) Burt, nephew James (Paula) Elliott, and niece Jennifer (Steven) Ventress.
