Eileen R. Crane's Obituary
Eileen Crane, 85, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Heartland Health Care Center.
Eileen was born on April 6, 1927 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Otto and Emma (Luka) Kayhs. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist and a former member of the Decatur garden Club. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed roses. She was known for her green thumb. She married Joseph Crane on October 5, 1946.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph; daughter, Jacque Mannakee of Chicago, IL; son-in-law, Neil Allen of Sydney, OH; sister, Millie Fleener (Harold) of Decatur; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jean Allen; brothers, Edwin Kayhs and Robert Kayhs.
Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Monday, January 14, 2013 in Christ United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 2-4 PM Sunday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
