Eilleen F. Mathern's Obituary
Eilleen F. Mathern, 93, of Decatur passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Eileen was born on August 31, 1922 in Illinois. She was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan and Illini Basketball fan. She married Richard Mathern , June of 1942. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1994.
Surviving are her sons, Dan Mathern (Cindy) of Decatur; Keith Mathern (Sharon) of Sevierville, TN; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Bob, Sherry, and Ray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Graveside service to celebrate Eileen’s life will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Fairlawn Cemetery at the corner of King and Taylor streets. Memorials are suggested to Mound Chapel Church of God.
