Elayne Evans' Obituary
Decatur-Herina Elayne Evans, 67, of Bloomington formerly of Decatur, was welcomed home by the Father on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
The family is announcing the home going of Herina Elayne Evans. Ms. Evans is joining her parents Henry and Estella Evans, as well as her brothers Edward Earl, Randy, Burnette, and Ralph Ray, her sister Jearlean, her special someone Ron, her daughter- in law Olivia and grandson Walter who all greeted her in Heaven.
She embraced the Father’s love at an early age, and spread it through the people she touched in the communities of Decatur and Bloomington, Illinois. Elayne was born in Laurel, MS, on February 1, 1947. Her quiet reverence and genuine candor invoked love, respect, and admiration from anyone who came in contact with her.
She is survived by her son; Ramon, who has 4 children Eric, Tori, Virginia, and Margaret; she also has 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Elayne’s surviving siblings are: her brother Henry D. Evans and her loving sisters, Breanesteene V. Evans and Judith A. Evans all of Decatur, IL.
Elayne will be deeply missed and remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
Homegoing services to celebrate Elayne’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
