Eldon "Bud" Clements' Obituary
Decatur – Eldon “Bud” Clements, 84, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with his wife by his side.
Bud was born July 21, 1931, near Frederick in Schuyler County, Illinois, the son of Herman H. and Ethel M. (Belleville) Clements. He proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was previously employed with Pittsburgh Paint & Glass retiring after thirty years of service. Bud was a member of South Shores Christian Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and did a lot of camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a third degree black belt in Judo and was an instructor for many years. Bud married Iris Humphrey February 9, 1958.
They shared over fifty-seven years together.
Bud leaves behind his wife Iris; sister, Wava Heffren; brother, Don Clements; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bud was reunited in Heaven with his parents; sister, Macel Stemp; brothers: Cecil, Bill and Russell Clements; and infant son Nathan.
Services to celebrate Bud’s life will be 11 am Saturday at South Shores Christian Church; visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the South Shores Christian Church.
