Lonnie and Linda,The first time I met your Dad was when he came to work with me at the County Clerk's Office.Everyone fell in love with him immediately. He would always say "What's more fun than people".Soon after that I met you Mother and later spent time with her when we were losing your Dad. She welcomed me into their home with open arms.I had never heard of noodles for Thanksgiving, but I soon learned how to make them from your Mom and Dad and I've been making them ever since. I think of them every Thanksgiving as I make my noodles and I always will.
Very sorry to learn of the passing of Betty. What a very nice lady! Our family, father Paul, mother Bette, sister Lynnette, me and my two brothers, Doug and Steve, lived north across the alley from Bernie and Bette. A lot of memories – Bernie and Betty playing cards with my mom and dad, Lonnie's pigeons and the stump in their backyard where we used to shoot off firecrackers, my dad and me going fishing with Bernie and Lonnie, Bernie performing surgery on our TV – that was a long time ago……
When I was a child my family lived across the street from the Incarnotos. I remember your mother as a kind person and was sorry to read of her passing. My sister,Susie, and I spent many memorable days riding our bikes, playing with the Gregory family,Freehills and Linda Incarnato. The old neighborhood has changed, but Decatur and those families still hold a warm place in my heart. My sincerest sympathy. Blessings to you – Linda
