Decatur-Ella L. Curtis, 95, of Woodbridge, Virginia, formerly of Decatur, passed away December 1, 2010 at her daughter’s home with her family at her bedside
A service to celebrate the life of Ella will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment with “Flight Home” ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Eastern Star Home in Macon, Illinois, or to the donor’s choice. Ella was born May 18, 1915 in Thayer, Mo. She was the daughter of Elijah and Iantha (Gardner) Meeks. She was a member of the Eastern Star for many years. Ella was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She married Merrill E. Curtis, April 4, 1936.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons; Larry Curtis and wife Donna of Decatur, Kenton Curtis and wife Carol of Decatur, daughter; Lucretia and husband Jerry of Woodbridge, VA, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was greeted into Heaven by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and 2 grandchildren
