Ellen Baker's Obituary
Ellen Nora Baker of Forsyth, Illinois passed away peacefully from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 4:58 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Hickory Point Christian Village surrounded by family.
Services to celebrate Ellen's life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 10, 2012 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Bodden officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. The family suggests casual attire. Memorials are suggested to New Beginnings Church of God.
Ellen was the fifth child of John and Edith (Whitsett) Jennings born on April 28, 1935. She was an avid watercolor artist and gardener, and she loved to travel. For many years she participated in art shows across Central Illinois. She married Donald R. Baker on December 26, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2007.
She leaves behind sons, Kevin and his wife Linda of Forsyth, IL; Michael and his wife Linda of Forsyth, IL; daughter, Jody Wiley of Bloomington, IL; and son, David and wife Rebecca of Hudson, IL; five grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Wiley; Christopher, Nathan, and Lauren Baker.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, and sister Ruth Huffman.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Estrada-Garcia, the staff at Hickory Point Christian Village, and a special thanks to Ellen's sister Rebecca Hockaday for all her love and attention.
