Elsie Lorene Sorenson's Obituary
Elsie Lorene Sorenson, 84, of Forsyth, IL, passed away at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday (09-16-2025) in her home.
Elsie was born on October 9th, 1940, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Verl Therron Hawbaker and Elsie Marie (Harlan) Hawbaker.
Elsie was the Director of Workforce Investment Solutions for several years.
She is survived by her sons: Kent Ronald Sorenson of Oreana, IL; and Donald Gordon Sorenson of Villa Grove, IL.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one brother Verl Hawbaker and wife Jackie of Amarillo, TX.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday (09-30-2025) at Graceland Cemetery Decatur, IL.
