Emma Joyce Tucker's Obituary
Decatur-Emma Joyce Tucker, 67, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born November 6, 1946 in Brownsville, TN, the daughter of Ules and Susanna Moore. She married LV Tucker on August 4, 1962 in Brownsville, TN. They had six children.
Joyce is survived by husband; LV Tucker Sr. of Decatur, IL; daughter, Brenda (Melvin) Archie of St. Louis, MO; son, LV (Sonya) Tucker Jr. of Bolingbrook, IL; daughter, Michelle Tucker of Decatur, IL; daughter, Monica Tucker of Decatur, IL; daughter, Tamara Tucker of Decatur IL; and daughter, Wynter Tucker of Decatur, IL ; sister, Eula (William) Austin of Lafayette, IN; sister, Anna (Arthur) Williamson of Brownsville, TN; sister, Lilly (Opal) Gause of Brownsville, TN; brother, James Robert Moore of Brownsville, TN.
Joyce was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
She worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 36 years as a material handler. She was also a licensed cosmetologist for many years and owned “Just for You Beauty Salon”.
Visitation will be held at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. located at 2801 N. Monroe Street, Decatur, IL. The Funeral will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony.
The family would like to extend special thanks to: Linda Sue Neal, Samantha Gaddy, and Loraine Gaddy, Mae Carolyn Neal, also our mom’s two best friends; Lee Anna and Pearl Reed. Additionally, we would like to thank Tressa, (DMH I.C.U. Nurse) a wonderful and caring nurse that provided excellent care for our beloved Mother.
