Emmett Daniel Webb's Obituary
Decatur-Emmett 'Danny' Webb, 61, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Decatur, left for worlds unknown without a parachute at 11 p.m. May 21, 2011 at his home in Lakeland.
Graveside services to celebrate Danny's life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Camp Butler National Cemetery Springfield, Illinois. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will be at Camp Butler. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Danny was born October 21, 1949 in Decatur, the son Elmer Ray and Mary (Slaton) Webb. Following in his father's footsteps Danny proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was previously employed with Firestone. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool. He married Cheryl Bond later they divorced. He then married Jackie Oliver. She preceded him in death in 2008.
He leaves behind his sons, Jason Christopher Webb and Danny Webb and wife Toni all of Enid, OK, daughter, Wendy Webb of Oklahoma City, OK, mother, Mary Wikoff of Decatur, brothers, Elmer LeRoy Webb and wife Shirley and Clifford Allan Webb and wife Theresa all of Decatur, eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was reunited in Heaven with his father, wife Jackie, and step-daughter.
