Eric Pugh's Obituary
Eric Pugh, 53 of Decatur, departed from this life and entered into eternal life on Monday March 18th in Decatur, IL at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Eric was born on May 10th, 1965 to Ethel Pugh-Gee (Cleotha) and Eugene “Red” Jones (Louise) in Louisville, Kentucky.
Eric accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Life Changers Church in Decatur, IL (Under the Leadership of Bishop G.E. Livingston).
He Graduated from Douglas Macarthur High school in Decatur and on May 21st 1999, Eric and Helen Orange-Pugh were United in Holy Matrimony.
Eric worked for many years as a Bus Driver and a Transportation Supervisor for Robertson Charter School. He was a very hard worker and dedicated his life to his Children. He enjoyed music, working on his cars and spending time with his family. He was a loving Husband, Father, and PaPa to his grandchildren.
Eric leaves to cherish fond memories to his devoted and loving wife Helen-Orange Pugh, 5 children: Glen King (Camille), LaMarkas Orange, LeAlvin (Shardee)Pugh, Eric Pugh Jr, and Tykesia (Taja) Pugh-Young. 9 grandchildren: Micah, Nolan, Samaria, Lil Glen, Zoey, Aaliyah, Aubrey, Titus and Amya. 3 brothers: Douglas Jones, Tony (Lisa) Jones, Wayne (Kerensa) Pugh, 3 sisters: Janet Jackson, Janice (Daniel) Scholten, Kimberly (Vaughn) Jones-Chenevert 5 Aunts: Janet, Catherine, Eva, Elizabeth and Octavia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samantha Young (granddaughter), Clifford Gee (Brother) and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Homegoing services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2019 at Life Changers Church, 1305 E. Prairie St., Decatur, IL 62521. Vistation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Cremation will follow services, provided by Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home.
Floral offerings may be sent to the church.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and Medical staff along with Decatur Memorial Hospital for the Loving care and attention given to Eric. Special thanks to Everyone who contributed to our loved ones Life.
